Etymology of 'ona' ; Social condemnation

I wondered what the meaning of 'ona' in 'onahole' is.
Is it a short form of オナニー ?
Is it a poor romanization of 女 ?

I sought how it is written.
It is written as 'オナホール', so 'ona' is a short form of 'オナニー'/onani or onanie.
For those who don't already know, this is meant to refer to masturbation. Full translation to english would be 'masturbation hole'.

The word 'onanie' came to be by wrong interpretation of the story in the bible book of Genesis of the sin of Onan.
Applying the word onanie or オナニー originally implies that it is a sin to masturbate to orgasm.
I'm sure that the screw up in interpreting the story of Onan was intentional. Reasons are going to be found as much as possible to make any obtaining of erotic satisfaction by men a sin as long as the satisfaction is not provided by the local population of women old enough that they can influence society as it pleases them.
