Package Inspections In EU Ordering From EU Country?

Say I order a toy from Motsutoys ( which is an EU retailer ) and the destination country is within EU -
Are there any package inspections on my end - post office, DHL etc.?

I know that if you order items from outside the EU, there might be inspections and you could be paying extra money in customs.

I really want to make an order, but the idea of someone going through my stuff, and finding something that ( not knowing to me ) is
apparently illegal just scares the hell out of me.

I am not 100% certain but if I remember correctly all items can travel between EU countries as long as it comes from the EU, the only exceptions are Alcohol,Tobacco, drugs, firearms, foods (fruits, meat, fish etc),endangered animals, money and chemicals. Which they recognize by passing the items through a scanner like they do in the airports,if you have ever travelled by plane.
